has been named recipient of the Blues Foundation's 1998 "Keeping
the Blues Alive" Award for achievement in education. The honor
will be presented at the KBA Awards Banquet, on Friday, May 1st,

Barrymore
Award for Excellence in Theatre for Outstanding Original Music -
The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia has awarded the 6th
Annual Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theatre for Outstanding
Original Music to blues musician Michael "Hawkeye" Herman for the
play, "El Paso Blue," produced at the Venture Theatre. The award
was presented to Herman at the Barrymore Awards Ceremony and Gala

6th Annual Iowa Blues Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was
held on Sunday, November 28th, 2004 at Blues On Grand, the Home of
the IBHOF.
Always a very memorable event, the year's ceremony honored
the 2004 IBHOF
inductees - Ronnie Brewer (AKA Ronald Moore), Tom "T-Bone" Giblin,
Michael "Hawkeye" Herman, and the late Ernest "Speck" Redd
- for their significant musical
